greeting card progress

last blog i'm talking about what concept of my greeting card so now.. i show my progress of my greeting card

OUTSIDE OF THE CARD

1. Create new Photoshop document size A4.
2. Bring the ruler marker to the middle of the document to indicate the middle of the card.

3. Pick a brush and start drawing clouds in a blue-green colour

4. Using a brush with a tree texture, paint on the trees in dark green

5. For the foliage, select a thin long brush and start drawing the shape.

6. Do the same with the green bush.

7. Select the Elliptical Marquee Tool and create the small circles. Fill it with red.

Draw the stalks freehand using the Brush tool. Make it slightly transparent

8. Next, use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to create a flower shape.

Then fill the shape with colour. Duplicate the flower and arrange them variably.

9. Draw the bird with Brush Tool. Create a selection in the shape of a wing and copy but delete the selection. Paste the copied item and adjust the transparency by erasing it bit by bit. Merge the two layers and duplicate the bird. Position them and adjust colour to give contrast.

10. Draw the flying bird with the Brush Tool.

11. Use the Rectangular Marquee Tool to create a frame. Then inverse the selection and fill it with white to create a white border around image to neaten it up.

12. Using the Brush Tool, draw an outline of a lotus flower in grey. This is the logo of the card.

13. Lastly use the Horizontal Type Tool to type the ‘Greeting Cards’ word.

INSIDE OF THE CARD

1. Having the file of the outside of the card open, delete all layers except the bird and berries layer. Save As the file into another file.

2. Crop only one of the bird; the foreground one.

3. Resize the berries, duplicate and merge them. Then set the transparency to 59%.

4. Select the Horizontal Type Tool and type message for inside of card.

Assignment 2 - greeting card 1

Hurm.. amy.... think of any greeting card (thinking mode)...

so i try to do something people are not usually do. because now days there's a lot greeting card at gift shop. such as birthday, event greeting (new year, Hari Raya, chirstmas) then i get an idea to do something different (act not people always do) which is Farewell card.

so my concept of greeting card is about farewell. my next blog i'll show my progress of greeting card

Tutorial 9 - Filter

i really enjoy doing this tutorial.. and it's fun.. so i tried few thing in this tutorial..

Assignment 1 - FOM open day poster

At first. i really dont have any idea to do this esaiment.. so i've google so many example of open day poster, so my insparation from this open day poster. so i took a basic of this poster to get my poster started.


and i collect as much picture related to FOM & MMU so this is the picture im using for my assignment 1

those photo above im using it for my front picture.

then,

im using the background of grass

then since we already learn masking.. so im using what we've been learn to this esaiment.
so the "DAY" i do masking and this are the photo that im using it

i add up with brush and so on

Tutorial 6 - masking

I try my best to done this tutorial.. and i really dont have idea.

task 2 : Photo retouch

well i guess i dont have much idea for photo retouch.

No 1:


this time im using :

1. healing brush to cover the face crack.
2. Photo filter to make it photo look more warm.
3. I did layer so if u notice i put the number "1970" at the back of women head.
4: Cropping so the portrait look more center. and drop shadow
5. and last i create new layer for background wit brown color then add noise filter on it.

the no 2 i already explain in step by step when i done it for tutorial.

Tutorial 4 - Photo Retouch

For this tutorial we have to do some photo retouch. actually im using a photo lecturer given so that i can work more for me next esaiment. So lets get started.

This is the photo that lecturer been given.

Step 1

Im using Healing brush to recover the the crack at women face.

Step 2:

Then i desaturated the photo to do some retouch about women teeth using stamp tool.

Step 3:

then im using burn tool to make the woman's cloth + hair more darker.

Step 4:

Then im using history brush to get the original color of the picture (background color),
and i make new layer to recolor the badge of beret im using yellow color here and then i click multiply .

Step 5:

Then i make new layer and duplicate the crop frame so i get this picture. to cut the frame im using lasso magnetic tools.

Step 6:

I google the cruise photo to add for masking layer.


Then i add word 'Spars' at the bottom of the photo.

and this is my result.

Introduction

OMG this is a difficult part because i am not good in "expressing" myself into blogging. well, here we goes.

hi,my name is Amelia Binti Mohamed Yunus. Born on 14 February 1987 (doesnt mean that i am a romantic person) and before coming to Cyberjaya i was taking my diploma at MMU Malacca.

FYI, this is my a very first blog and im not familiar with blogging so its been awkward using this application. atleast im trying. hurm. i do love taking picture and ofcoz my picture been taken. hahaha~ act. adobe photoshop is not a new application for me. i've been using this application since last year and still in learning using it until now. taking this subject makes me happy. because i can better understand adobe PS in future. so im hoping that after taking this subject.my skill more sharpen and good. so now im trying to have fun with it. :)

My very first Task (Computer Face)

i dont know how to start. act i am familiar with the photoshop tools but since im not good using it. my task look so dull. but this is the beginning for me to do it better in future.
